Golden United is a non-partisan, residents driven effort to engage Golden area community members across all walks of life to find common ground and act with respect and dignity in strengthening the community.


Our Vision: By bringing together community members across segments of society and ideologies for deep listening and understanding, we can establish a shared commitment to key values and to civic actions that will advance our common goals and strengthen this “small town with heart.”

Please consider donating whatever you are able to support ongoing business and housing support, community educational programs, policy engagement, discussion forums and rallies, and communications and outreach. Thank you!

YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS:

  • Housing Task Force efforts to expand access to affordable housing while preserving Golden’s small-town character including providing assistance to mobile home park residents in Golden to enable them to stay in their homes, emergency and rent and utility assistance to those in need of such support in Golden, and protecting existing affordable housing. 

  • Enabling COVID-19 recovery in Golden, including support for local businesses and other steps to achieve community-wide revitalization.

  • Conducting discussion forums on key topics of common interest to residents and identifying potential steps to address emerging issues or concerns.

  • Convening annual Flavors of Golden shared meals and celebrations with community organizations.

  • Expanding and continuing partnerships with other organizations in the community, such as with the Golden Anti-Racism Collective, the School of Mines, the Civic Foundation, the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and others.

  • Holding non-partisan forums for candidates for city council and mayor in collaboration with others.

  • Strengthening communication and outreach that increases awareness of and participation in Golden United activities.
